Val Paradiso

Engaging experiential tours are born from the passion for extra virgin olive oil

Val Paradiso is a Sicilian farm of excellence. It was born in 1980 among hectares of Saracen olive trees in Naro, the fertile heart of the Agrigento area, to create products that inebriate the senses and delight the palate. Val Paradiso extra virgin olive oils are, in fact, increasingly awarded and requested nationally and internationally for their excellent quality. From the experience of the olive oil mill was born the Val Paradiso Academy, a place with dedicated spaces: a kitchen, a tasting room and a large living room, supporting both a real “school of oil and Sicilian traditions” and the “Experiential Tours” that transmit “knowledge” through the five senses. Three guided tours aimed at all lovers of the world of oil, to those who want to know more for professional reasons, to those who want to discover the territory where Val Paradiso is located by visiting the most evocative corners of the city of Naro, its baroque, its churches and its medieval castle.

Next to the already highly sought-after blends, the three Val Paradiso monovarietals have recently been introduced: Tonda Iblea, Nocellara, and Biancolilla. A trio capable of offering all enthusiasts a sensory tour in Sicily, exploring the most renowned and beloved Sicilian cultivars. The journey begins with Nocellara del Belice, characterized by a distinctive fruity profile of tomato and artichoke, with pronounced bitter and spicy notes. Moving towards the central part of the island, encompassing Sciacca, Caltabellotta, Agrigento, Favara, Licata, and Caltanissetta, stands out Biancolilla, a more delicate variety with hints of green almond, artichoke, and freshly mowed grass, featuring milder bitterness and spiciness. The tour concludes in the eastern part of Sicily, with Tonda Iblea taking the spotlight in the Ragusa and Syracuse territories. It boasts an intense and elegant fruity aroma, with hints of mowed grass, wild herbs, and aromatic herbs. Three single-cultivar IGP extra virgin olive oils that narrate the diverse nuances of Sicily to the palate.
