Agrigento and its Valley of the Temples are once again the scenarios of the rich program of the Almond Blossom Festival 2026: from 7 to 15 March! The 78th Edition of the Festival will be a great moment to visit Agrigento and discover its 2600 years of history, so here you are:

Indeed, right through the streets of Agrigento’s Historic Center and the Archaeological Park of the Valley of the Temples, numerous cultural events are scheduled: parades, performances by groups from all over the world, concerts, marching bands, theatrical plays, shows, and much more. This year, in particular, the edition is dedicated to the Tradition of Peace to relaunch the value of dialogue within a global context marked by conflicts. Folk groups from various countries, as well as colorful Sicilian Folk Groups, will arrive in Agrigento and the magical setting of the Valley of the Temples to celebrate the universal values of harmony and peace among peoples.

Armenia, Bulgaria, Colombia, Croatia, Ecuador, Georgia, India, Kosovo, Malaysia, Malta, Macedonia, Mexico, Peru, Romania, Serbia, Thailandia, Ukraine, and Hungary.

Saturday, March 7

• Official start of the Almond Blossom week with events, shows, tastings, and markets in the city squares.

Sunday, March 8

• Folk Groups Parade from Piazza Pirandello to Viale della Vittoria.
• The Sagra is Woman: a moment of reflection and celebration on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

Monday, March 9

• Folk Groups Parade from Piazza Pirandello to Piazza Cavour. Performance in Piazza Cavour.

Tuesday, March 10

• Folk Groups Parades from Piazza Pirandello to Piazza Cavour. Performance in Piazza Cavour
• At twilight, the Lighting of the Tripod of Friendship: the evocative Ceremony in front of the Temple of Concordia. This is followed by the “Concordia Mundi” drone show and the official opening of the 78th International Folklore Festival.

Wednesday, March 11

• Folk Groups Parades from Piazza Pirandello to Piazza Cavour. Performance in Piazza Cavour
• Latin American Show: a special event dedicated to the traditions and rhythms of the Latin area at the Pirandello Theater.

Thursday, March 12

• Folk Groups Parades from Piazza Pirandello to Piazza Cavour. Performance in Piazza Cavour
• Via Atenea, Street Folk Fest: a city celebration with touring performances by international folk groups and tastings of typical products, concluding with a DJ set in the heart of the city.

Friday, March 13

• Folk Groups Parades from Piazza Pirandello to Piazza Cavour. Performance in Piazza Cavour
• 5:00 PM Piazza Pirandello: Mayor’s Greeting and the Torchlight Procession of Friendship, International folk groups parade to Viale della Vittoria.
• 9:00 PM Folklore Festival: international performances at the Palacongressi.

Saturday, March 14

• Folk Groups Parades from Piazza Pirandello to Piazza Cavour. Performance in Piazza Cavour
• Folklore Grand Gala. International performances by the 18 foreign delegations continue at the Palacongressi during the afternoon and evening.

Sunday, March 15

• 9:00 AM: From Pirandello Square to Vittoria Avenue, Parade of International Folk Groups, Children, Bands, and Sicilian Carts.
• 2:00 PM: Temple of Concord: Final Ceremony and awarding of the Golden Temple 2025. Performance by folk groups and award presentations.
• Election of “Miss Primavera”: proclamation of the winner chosen by the popular jury.

Joint Events

• Almond at the Table – the initiative that joins local restaurateurs in a culinary tribute to the almond, the soul and symbol of Agrigento’s excellence.
