“Sicilia in Bolle” (Sicilian Bubbles) the festival dedicated to Sicilian sparkling wines, is here again with many occasions to sample  selected sicilian wines and get to know both their peculiarities and their producers.The event will take place on June 30 and July 1 in Agrigento between the Valley of the Temples and Scala dei Turchi. The inaugural conference “Sicily and Trentino: two great food and wine territories” will be held on June 30th at Casa Sanfilippo in the Valley of the Temples, while the 4 Masterclass included in the program will take place at Madison, a splendid location with a breathtaking view of the magnificent Scala dei Turchi of Realmonte. The prestigious festival is organized by the local delegation of the National Sommelier Association (Associazione Italiana Sommelier – AIS) represented by Francesco Baldacchino and AIS Sicilia, represented by Camillo Privitera. The president of the Associazione Italiana Sommelier, Antonello Marietta, will be present as a special guest.

The two-day program of the 2019 edition is as follows:

• Day1 – Sunday 30 June: at 11:30 am the “Sicily and Trentino: two great food and wine territories” Conference at Casa Sanfilippo (Valley of the Temples). From 3:00 pm to 18:30 pm at the Madison they will play three Master Classes on Italian sparkling wines, with particular reference to spumanti from the regions of Sicily and Trentino.

• Day 2 – Monday 1 July: at 11.30 am a Champagne Masterclass will be held at the Madison. Also at Madison at 7.30 pm the festival opens its doors to the general public, invited to taste more than 160 varieties of sparkling wines and spumanti produced by over 50 wine cellars.

Many prestigious cellars will be represented, amongst which Luna Sicana, Planeta, Tasca d’Almerita, Marco de Bartoli, CVA, Feudo Arancio, Terrazze dell’Etna, Benanti, Gorghi Tondi, Murgo and Milazzo. Consult the complete list of participants on www.siciliainbolle.it
