Ruga Reali

Ruga Reali is a precious pearl of the Sicilian cuisine, tucked away in a quaint courtyard in the old town centre, just around the corner from Teatro Pirandello. Its cosy indoor salon with original sandstone arches and its open-air terrace for outdoor dining on summer evenings create the right atmosphere to enjoy some exquisite Sicilian cooking. Both fish and meat dishes are prepared according to the best local recipes, intimately connected to the land and the sea. Ruga Reali’s characteristic flavours will not fail to convince you ‘at first bite’: they are generous, genuine and intense. Fresh seasonal products are carefully selected daily for their simple wholesomeness. A hint of creativity does the rest. Of course the wine cellar is stocked with a well assorted array of selected Sicilian wines to accompany each dish. Don’t miss: stuffed sardines “a beccafico”, spaghetti with tender zucchina leaves and seafood, filetted San Pietro fish “all’ acqua pazza”.
